【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddefines,inanabstractway,theexternallyvisibleBasicClassVirtualTerminalServicewithintheOSIApplicationLayerintermsofa)amodeldefiningtheinteractionbetweenusersoftheservice;b)theprimitiveactionsandeventsoftheservice;c)theparameterdataassociatedwitheachprimitiveactionandevent;d)therelationshipbetween,andthevalidsequencesof,theseactionsandevents.TheservicedefinedinthisInternationalStandardisthatwhichisprovidedbytheOSIBasicClassVirtualTerminalProtocol(inconjunctionwiththeAssociationControlServiceElementandthePresentationService)andwhichmaybeusedbyanyuserincludingotherApplicationServiceElements.Therela-tionshipbetweenthestandardsforVirtualTerminalService,VirtualTerminalProtocol,ACSE,PresentationLayerServiceandtheuseroftheVirtualTerminalServiceisshowninfigure1.ThisInternationalStandardalsodefinestwostandarddefaultvirtualterminalenvironmentprofilesanddescribestheformofregisteredvirtualterminalenvironmentprofilesandcontrolobjects.Virtualterminalenvironmentprofilesdefinesetsofvirtualterminalenvironmentparametersforuseintheestab-lishmentofvirtualterminalassociationsandsubsequentne-gotiation.ThisInternationalStandardalsodefinesastructureofASN.1ObjectIdentifiersfortheobjectsdefinedinthisInternationalStandardandforuseinaregisterofvirtualterminalobjects.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotspecifyindividualimple-mentationsorproducts,nordoesitconstraintheimplementa-tionofentitiesandinterfaceswithinacomputersystem.Thereis,therefore,norequirementforconformancetothisInterna-tionalStandard.ThisInternationalStandardappliestointeractiveapplicationsrequiringterminalorientedcommunicationexpressedintermsofthetransmissionandmanipulationofgraphicalimageshavingthefollowingcharacteristics:e)theimagesarecomposedofcharacter-boxgraphicele-mentsorganisedintoaone,twoorthreedimensionalstructure;f)attributesmaybeassociatedwithanygraphicelementtoqualifyitsmodeofdisplay.Controlinformationforthecommunicationcanbemodelledusingvirtualterminalcontrolobjects,andmultipledevicescanbemodelledusingvirtualterminaldeviceobjectslinkedtotheothervirtualterminalobjects.
